One half of the founders of Ser Jacopo, Don Carlos' Bruto Sordini has been carving pipes since the age of 23, founding not one but two companies, and working in a number of others in what Bruto himself describes as a 'pilgrimage' through the Pesaro pipemakers of Italy. Initially production of Don Carlos pipes was quite high, but after a motorcycle accident and a long recuperation, Bruto came back to his work with a more deliberate pace, as well as more shapes and finishes that he'd dreamt up during his recovery.
