Misc. Estates: Grechukhin Sandblasted Assymetric Bent Apple (G) (2013)
Product Number: 004-157-0109
Vladimir Grechukhin is one of Russias preeminent pipe-makers. Living and working in St. Petersburg, he first began working with — and studying under — Alexei Borisovitch Fyodorov in the 1970s, when a young Vladimir was just eighteen years old. Learning from the master came easily, as Grechukhin had been working with wood and other mediums since he was a child, and naturally took to understanding design and execution with briar and ebonite.
Leaning early on to chubby, compact forms, Vladimir Grechukhin now displays an impressive depth and range, moving from said compact pieces to more structural, asymmetric, and flowing pieces with ease.
