Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nate King has been carving pipes for over a decade now, starting from kits in 2007 after having spent the first decade of career first in auto engineering as a transmission specialist for pit crews at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and then in aviation. Engineering has been a constant theme throughout his career, and he gained early prominence in the pipe community for his gear-infused 'steampunk' pieces.
