The Dublin is one of the most interesting and distinctive shapes in the Becker portfolio. They run the gamut in size, from delicate and petite to large and thick-walled. But regardless of size there are two features that almost all Becker Dublins seem to share. The first is a distinct angular heel that lends each piece a sense of forward motion. The second feature is a shank that is less thick and less weighty when compared to the bowl than found on the traditional English version of the shape. These two elements combine to steep the pipe in personality, at once rakish and jocular.
