While his Danish influences are still as present as ever, Jeff's time in Vladimir Grechukhin's studio is particularly noticeable in this "Cradled" Apple. Broad of both bowl and shank, with an extra high transition and a line just before it that is marked not only by the use of dark and brown finishes on either side, but by a step where he's masked off the shank and blasted the bowl deeper again.

Despite its substance, Jeff has managed to keep this piece quite agile through the use of both a high reaching shank with the lightest of S-curves through to the button, and plenty of negative space thanks to a saddle stem that drops off from the base quite quickly after the silver accent ring.
