Chris Asteriou made a name for himself early in his career as a skilled interpreter of English classics. And while we've seen the Greek pipemaker embrace a variety of aesthetic influences, that penchant for breathing new life into traditional shapes is still the element of his work that I like best. This muscular, stout Lovat is a particularly fetching rendition of the shape, one that sports some seriously nice ring grain, accentuated by Chris's use of contrast stain.
