Geiger Pipes, made by Sara Mossberg and Love Geiger, often combine traditional shaping cues with those of the more organic and asymmetrical variety. While this 'Rolling Egg' might not contain the kind of asymmetry often seen in their work, it most certainly makes use of their more organic shaping aesthetic. Love and Sara draw from a wide range of inspiration in their work, from the natural world to mathematics and geometry, so this piece seems like a natural evolution of the pair.

Starting with a horizontally aligned 'egg' shape (as opposed to the more usual tall, vertical, and reaching variety) allows them a more relaxed posture, drawing the piece — and the viewer's eye — back along the scooped transition and up the rolling shank to the army mounted shank face and Vulcanite saddle stem. It's essentially a riff on both their various iterations of the BoDog combined with an interesting take on the Eskimo shape they worked on for a two-pipe "Yin/Yang" set they did back in 2018. It's evolved since then, of course, easing back on the more angular line work and leaning more into the underlying curves, then adding a more defined treatment to the transition.
