One of his signature shapes, each of Grechukhin's Long Shank Apple tend to exhibit subtle differences, with some going for a heavily asymmetrical approach, numerous variations on the bend of the shank, and (of course) varying ornamentations. For this particular piece, Vladimir went for a more symmetrical style, with only the ever-so-slightest lift from the left side of the fore bowl to the right, the usual high-set orientation of the transition, and a high degree of bend to the vertically flattened, strongly flared shank, all set to a backdrop of his signature contrast sandblast.
