In profile, the piece showcases the robust aesthetic for which Grechukhin pipes are well known, particularly the muscular bowl, meaty transition, and ample shank. When viewed from above or below, however, we see that the pipe is surprisingly lean with its blade-like shank. On the whole, an excellent piece.
