Peter Heding : Sandblasted Disc with Horn

Product Number: 002-220-0003

Peter Heding has a tendency to take on more...challenging shapes. Be it the Ramses, the Sphinx, or the Nautilus, there's really not much that seems to daunt the Danish carver. And the Disc (or Disk for our friends across the pond) is just one of those shapes. For one, what really is it? We've seen all manner of iterations, from flattened Cobras to horizontally aligned Elephant's Feet, to literal discs that run diagonally with the bowl at one side, there seems to be no end of interpretations. No surprise then that Heding went with a more simplified version, albeit in a more floral and organic style — typical of his aesthetic — with a bowl that's nearly all waistline and a pinched off taper up the smooth rim.
