Perhaps one of Tom's oddest creations, the Tubos was pretty quirky long before it was modified to include a reverse-Calabash style shank. Playfully proportioned by design, it's what Tom once called his "pipe-shaped" pipe, something he has even accentuated by creating a long-shanked, saddle-stemmed variation. This one comes in at the standard length (which is pretty short and handy), though by the looks of it he did accentuate that charming reversal of breadth, in the relationship between bowl and shank, which is a key part of this shape's curious nature.
