Similar in design to the Falcon pipe, Kirsten pipes feature a metal, radiator-style body with a bowl that screws into the metal shank. Both Kirsten and Falcon were founded in the United States in 1936 and reflected something of the optimism of mid-century America: the belief that technology can improve upon age-old designs. By 1968, Falcon had relocated to the United Kingdom, but Kirsten remained an American company as it still is today.
