American Estates: Kaywoodie Flame Grain (11) (pre-1950) (Push Tenon)

Product Number: 004-149-0720

Appearing in the early decades of the 20th century, Kaywoodie is one of the oldest and best-known American marques. In the 1920s, the company produced the 'drinkless' system, a metal stinger attached to the screw-in tenon, designed to promote a cool, dry smoke. The system remained a feature of Kaywoodie pipes throughout most of their history. In 1955, the factory was purchased by the S.M. Frank Corporation. Kaywoodie pipes were well regarded throughout their history as a quality pipe at an affordable price. Today, pipes produced prior to 1955 are especially sought by collectors.
