The Pipe of the Year series stands as Peterson of Dublin's most premium limited-edition release and an annual tradition the marque has continued since 1997. Their 2025 release is particularly special, coinciding with the company's 160th anniversary. Many iterations of the series revive shapes from old Peterson shape charts, and for 2025, the Irish marque has resurrected the classic "02," a shape prevalent in the firm's catalog from 1896 into the late 1930s, as the "02BB." The "02BB" Oom Paul features a tight-knit profile, a tubular bowl, and a near-vertical shank-and-stem arrangement, the latter of which is carefully posed for comfortable smoking. Serialized out of 1000, each 2025 Pipe of the Year is presented in one of the Irish marque's iconic finishes, accented with silver, and comes with a custom pipe sleeve made from genuine Donegal tweed, with this particular example dressed in a dark, craggy rustication.
