Mastro de Paja falls into the more conservative end of the Pesaro school, creating designs which keep to rather more practical proportions and arrangements than some of their brethren pipemakers, while still introducing a charming degree of this unique style's sense of imagination and gesture. Likewise you'll find their finishes leaning towards the rustic earth-tones and textures broadly favored by the Pesaro approach, though they certainly know how to produce some exceptionally handsome smooth finishes as well.
