The 2023 Pipe of the Year is among the most remarkable entries in the line: a shape-accurate rendition of the patented X160, specifically the X160 AB.

Appearing in Peterson's 1906 catalogue as a P-Lip Army Mount, the X160 AB was defined by its deep, swan-neck bend and softly rounded, Egg-like bowl. Peterson's recreation for this year's annual release retains those soft lines and the iconic bullet nosed mount, tweaking the stem base slightly to make it stouter and more in line with the overall profile. Available in the traditional Heritage, Terracotta, Ebony, Rusticated, Sandblasted finishes — plus the more ornate Natural, Rusticated Silver Cap and PSB Rua finishes — each comes complete with a Peterson-branded bag crafted from genuine Donegal tweed.
