Werner Mummert: Sandblasted Bent Apple with Polymerised Corn Leaves (9mm)

Product Number: 002-203-0003

I've seen a plethora of accent materials used on pipes over the years: a menagerie of teeth, antlers, and bones; a raft of exotic woods; and a rainbow of plastics. But I'm quite certain that this is the first time I've seen a pipe maker use polymerised corn leaves. After viewing this fetching bent Apple, I hope I'll be seeing it again. The accent is reminiscent of amber and pairs beautifully with the natural colour palette of the pipe, producing a piece with organic beauty. Finally, I can't help but note the exceptional quality of the sandblast, with ring grain stacked up like so many wafers.
