While usually known for his wild, eccentric designs and avant-garde aesthetic, Werner Mummert does seem to have a fondness for the occasional classic, as more often seen with his Billiards or long shanked variations thereof. Shaping wise, this Lovat is most definitely in that latter camp, with a supple, rounded bowl with a gradual taper toward the rim, and a stout rounded shank protruding from an extra low transition that terminates at the mid point on the under-section of the bowl. Finished in an extra craggy sandblast that reveals concentric circlets of pronounced ring grain and a subtle contrast stain, it's all paired to jet black saddle stem with an accent ring of vibrant Fordite — because of course it wouldn't be a Werner Mummert piece without some amount of flair.
