While usually known for his wild, eccentric designs and avant-garde aesthetic, Werner Mummert does seem to have a fondness for the occasional classic, as more often seen with his Billiards or long shanked variations thereof. Shaping wise, this Lovat is most definitely in that latter camp, with a supple, rounded bowl with a gradual taper toward the rim, and a stout rounded shank protruding from an extra low transition that gives a little more cheeking to the bowl. Finished in an extra craggy sandblast that reveals concentric circlets of pronounced ring grain and a subtle contrast stain, it's been finished in a vibrant ruby red and then paired to a salmon hued vulcanite stem, inlaid with a coral, green, and yellow accent ring.
